This website contains examples of work by Jim Pickrell done while at UCLA and the Technical University of Munich (TUM).
Jim Pickrell was raised in Seattle, Washington. He received a Bachelors from the University of Washington and a Masters from UCLA.
After graduation he worked as a CAD based set designer for several years drafting 3D sets used in advertising for companies such as J C Penneys and Mattel.
Pickrell founded Brand X Internet, a local internet service provider (ISP) in Santa Monica, California where he worked for more than 20 years.
Pickrell taught Computer Aided Design (CAD) at UCLA Extension for two years and computer courses at Los Angeles City College for nine years.
He has done consulting work for Philips Electronics, Blue Origin, the Directors Guild of America, and the City of Santa Monica.
At the suggestion of his superiors at LACC, Pickrell decided to return to school to get an advanced degree. Pickrell is currently studying Computer Science at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) with emphasis in Robotics, Cognition, Artificial Intelligence, and Games Engineering.
