Setting Up Eudora For Multiple Mailboxes

Eudora for Macintosh can support multiple users. Here's how:
  1. Configure Eudora for one user.

  2. Quit Eudora.

  3. Open the System folder.

  4. Move the Eudora folder in there to another location.

  5. Rename it. Suggestion: Eudora (username).

  6. Open this folder.

  7. Highlight the Eudora Settings file.

  8. Make an alias of it.

  9. Move the alias to a convenient place such as the Apple Menu Items folder or your desktop.

  10. Rename the alias. Suggestion: name the alias to the email address. Example: name the alias fred@brandx.net

  11. Launch Eudora by double-clicking on the application itself. (Don't launch it by using the alias.)

  12. Configure the settings for another user.

  13. A fresh Eudora folder with these new settings will be in the System Folder. Repeat these steps as necessary until you have a Eudora folder and alias for each of your mailboxes.

From now on, only launch Eudora by double-clicking one of the aliases. You can switch between mailboxes without quiting Eudora by simply double-clicking on another alias.
