Brand X Price list - DSL in Verizon Territory

(Effective for new accounts starting 7/1/2001)

Services - Residential and Business DSL

Brand X Offers Residential and Business DSL.

Brand X Internet is currently offering ADSL services for both MACINTOSH and WINDOWS in Verizon areas. ADSL service in Pacific Bell areas will be available soon.

Unlike Verizon, Brand X loves Macs and we completely support them. In fact, you are welcome to run any operating system you'd like on our network. Please note that we can only offer extensive support for Mac, Windows and Unix/Linux; however we will try to help you no matter what you're running.

Don't call Verizon - Call Brand X first

Brand X is pleased to announce that we have concluded an arrangement with Verizon which will enable us to be the one point of contact for your DSL order. You need only call us and we will place the order with Verizon on your behalf. We're of course willing to be your Internet provider even if you've already placed an order with Verizon or are online with someone else; however, we have a much greater ability to track your order if it goes through us.

Free Modem, a $200 Value!

If you sign up for a year, Brand X Internet will provide you with the DSL modem for free (a $49.95 value). The only requirement is that you sign a one-year commitment. You do not have to pay in advance (unless you want to take advantage of our pre-pay discount), all you need to do is promise that you will stay with us for one year. Please click here to see our one year contract.

ADSL connections are all dedicated, meaning that they are "up" all of the time. You do not need to dial in, nor will you be disconnected. The following rates include Verizon line charges based on Verizon's 1 year term commitment. Verizon offers slight discounts if you're willing to choose a 3 year term commitment.

Please note: Your computer must have a 10BaseT Ethernet card to use DSL.

If you wish to attach one computer to one DSL line, for email, web browsing, downloading music and software, or for game play at high speed, then residential DSL is the service for you. Additional computers are allowed at additional charge. Static addresses are not provided and you must pay for additional computers even if you have a firewall or router to isolate them from the DSL line.

If you wish anything not provided with the basic line, you need our premium/business account. Verizon requires that if you have a business phone line that the DSL also be a business account. Additionally, if you require a static address, multiple static addresses, or if you desire to run servers of any type, you need a "Premium" account. Roughly half our premium accounts are for private residences with power computing and communication needs.
