Quiz - Google Docs - CAOT 97

You can access Google Docs by first logging into your Gmail account, then select "documents".

Create a Google Presentation Document with the information listed below. (10 points)

Share the result to me at jim.pickrell@gmail.com. (10 points)

The name/title of the document should be like this: CAOT 97 - DC Travel Plan - Last name, First Name. (10 points)

Our destination is Washington DC.

Choose a Theme. This will set the background of your new presentation. Note that if you change your theme later, it may wipe your presentation so choose this before you start. (10 points)

Cover page: Name the subject of our presentation, include a nice image, and make sure your name is on this page too. (10 points.)

Page 1: Describe the destination.Why would we want to go here? Choose a nice picture or two and write some text about it. Also make sure your name is on the first page. (10 points)

Page 2: What is a nice hotel in our destination? I need a map and a couple of pictures, contact information, and the cost. Please get a map and include it in your document. You can't paste maps into a Google Doc so you will have to use a screen capture. (10 points)

Page 3: What is the best way to get to our destination by plane? Choose a reservation to go for a week. You can pick the dates. Include flight times, airline, and the cost, including the charges for one checked suitcase. Put the information in a TABLE. (from the menu table->insert table) (10 points)

Page 4, 5, 6: What are the three most interesting things to see in our destination? You can choose them. For each I want a description, a photo, address, cost, and a map. (30 points)

Page 7: For more information - list at least four sources of more information on our destination. (10 points)

Each page should have a nice transition selected. You can set the transition by selecting a slide in the list at left, then on the right side, choose the transition type. (10 points).

Include at least one video for 10 extra points credit.

Here's a sample of what a project might look like. I've just done the minumum, you should be able to make something that looks nicer. The example was done during class time but it not yet complete.
